Lunch Time Must-haves

Bulalong Batangas
Hapag Restaurant's Bulalo (but with no balatong)
On a regular meal in Lipa City, every person must have the “main dish” to satisfy his or her taste and ‘tummy’. We all know that an appetizer, side dish or a dessert alone will not satisfy someone’s starving tummy.

So, to enjoy your stay in Lipa City, it is a must not to forget to taste the mouth-watering dish that suits the taste of all Pinoy – the Bulalo version of Lipa City. Unlike the others wherein most of us are used to have it with little vegetables, the Bulalo in Lipa has a twist; it has a balatong or the so-called munggo. It is a meal that’s not just for satisfaction but for a healthy purpose.

One of the most remarkable bulalo houses in Lipa would be Tessie's Goto and Bulalo. For only P250, you can order their appetizing Bulalo. Tessie's Goto is located along Ayala Highway, Tambo, Lipa City (Star Tollway Corner Exit).

Gotong Batangas

Another must have in Lipa City is their Gotong Batangas. A delectable dish that has a lot of twists such as its ingredients are not the one that most of us got used to have or eat. Surprisingly, its ingredients do not add up the rice whereas inner parts of a meat are being added up to it for a satisfying taste. The taste of Gotong Batangas is somehow connected to“papaitan” which is another delicious meal that suits Filipino taste. It is a must have for the entire explorer or to the visitors of Lipa City to have an amazing and satisfying trip.

Gotohan sa Barangay in Antipolo del Norte, a few meters away from Carmel Church, cooks the best Goto in Lipa, a lot of Lipenos say and so does tourists. With only P60 in your wallet, you will surely be full with what you can eat in Gotohan. It cooks the best Gotong Laman and Gotong Laman Loob in town so everyone must give it a try!
